The case started with a single phone call. The subject of the consultation was, "We want to reduce the time it takes to send faxes. The organization has a large amount of registrant information and uses faxes to contact registrants. The number of faxes sent to the organization is several hundred, but because the recipients of the faxes differ according to the content of the communication, the faxes are sent one by one each time. Not only was the work tremendously time-consuming, but it was also fraught with the risk of erroneous transmissions. They needed to solve the problem within a limited budget, and they were having a very difficult time.

What we initially heard was a request to be able to send faxes directly from "Access," which manages registrant information. Technically, it is easy to connect "Access" and fax machines. However, to do so would require the purchase of a license, which is very costly. We therefore decided to propose a system focused on solving the problem. This is because we found out through a series of interviews that sending faxes directly from "Access" is not an essential requirement.

What we proposed was a very simple system. The system is very simple: the recipient is selected on "Access" and the fax machine is linked to that information. Although the work of pressing the "send" button remained, this eliminated a large cost burden. In fact, the reason why we decided to adopt this system was because of its high cost-effectiveness. As a result, the cost was one-tenth that of other companies' proposals. After the introduction of the fax machine, the time required for sending faxes was greatly reduced, and the client was satisfied with its usability and cost. Since this project, we have continued to receive requests from our clients.
